The Great Commission Fellowship was pleased to host the first annual Wounded Warriors Conference, held August 11 - 13, 2008.

The theme for this conference wa “Wounded In The House of My Friend. Zech 13:6”. The conference was located at White Dove Fellowship, 3600 Manhattan Blvd., Harvey, Louisiana.

If you've served in full or part-time ministry for any length of time, you know the heartbreaks that men and women of God must endure. If you, or anyone to whom you are ministering are a casualty of the ministry, you should consider attending this conference. You may have left the ministry as a result of betrayal or failure, or simply succumbed to disappointment, discouragement and burnout. You may still be in the ministry, but you know that you are the "walking wounded" and in need of a healing touch. This conference was a safe place. A sanctuary in which you may begin the healing and restoration process.

“Romans 11:29 says, "For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”

There was no charge for the conference, and meals were also provided at no cost, however, pre-registration was required. Please visit the Wounded Warrior website by clicking here: wounded-warrior.org.

Changing Perspective

Far better it is to dare mighty things to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure… than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in a grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
